An additional option “Dry Only” is also available for additional drying time to be added to the end of a cycle. For special applications, requiring variations in cycle parameters,all settings on the BioClave 16 are fully adjustable. Despite the space-saving exterior dimensions of the BioClaves, the stainless steel sterilization chambers are suprisingly large, accommodating a variety of liquids, medical instruments, glassware, plasticware and other common research laboratory items. Both of these benchtop models include a mechanical and electrical safety interlock that prevents the door from being opened until the pressure has been released. With large digital displays and fully automatic operation, all segments of the sterilization cycle (fill, sterilize, exhaust and dry) commence and run to completion by simply pressing the start button. An optional thermal mini-printer is available for providing a record of sterilization parameters. In addition, a built-in USB port allows for transfer of these parameters to a computer for printing or storage of cycle data. The BioClave™ 16 Research Autoclave offers three standard cycles that are preset for the sterilization of liquids, wrapped instruments, or unwrapped instruments/plasticware. There is a fourth program option “Dry Only” which can be added at the end of the cycle. All of these cycle setting are fully adjustable on the Bioclave, so if you need to change the program parameters you have that option.
